Anthony from the president of the League asking for <br /> 34 St . Anthony ' s support of the fee . He commented that he <br /> 35 would be in favor of sending a letter to the League <br /> 36 supporting the fee rather than passing a resolution. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Motion by Makowske , seconded by Marks , to send a letter to <br /> 39 League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust in support of the <br /> 40 1 . 5% institutional fee to fund League projects . <br /> Al <br /> 42 In response to a question by Council Member Enrooth , Mayor <br /> 43 Pro Tem Ranallo described the background of the I,MCIT, and <br /> 44 stated that the League of Minnesota Cities began a fund to <br /> 45 obtain an insurance program to which its members could <br /> 46 subscribe at a time when many communities found it difficult <br /> A-7 if not impossible to obtain insurance at reasonable cost . <br /> 48 He stated that the City' s experience with that insurance <br /> 49 program has been excellent . The League is asking for an <br /> 50 institutional fee rather than charging a larger membership <br />
