Regular Council Meeting 2 <br /> September 11, 1990 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Councilmembers applauded those honored. <br /> 3 i <br /> 4 With regard to the recent rash of burglaries, date Chief Engstrom said they <br /> 5 are working with the Minneapolis police, East Side Station. They believe <br /> 6 more than one party is involved. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Mayor Ranallo also thanked Chief Engstrom for his work and for recognizing <br /> 9 these individuals. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 KIWANIS PEANUT DAY <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Kiwanis member Dennis Fagerlee offered peanuts to Councilmembers for <br /> 14 donations and to ask their support for Peanut Day. The Kiwanis have been <br /> 15 active in St. Anthony Village for nineteen years and this is their major fund- <br /> 16 raiser. He also asked them to declare Friday, September 28, 1990, "Kiwanis <br /> 17 Peanut Day" and to give them permission to solicit funds on that day. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to designate Friday. September 28. <br /> 20 1990 as Kiwanis Peanut Day. <br /> 21 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 22 <br /> 23 SPECIAL OLYMPICS REPRESENTATION • <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Mayor Ranallo asked for an official to represent St. Anthony on September <br /> 26 17 at the Special Olympics Kickoff '91 Wagner volunteered to officially <br /> 27 represent the city and coordinate the service organizations. Mayor Ranallo <br /> 28 noted that the Knights of Columbus has members trained to speak for the <br /> 29 Special Olympics. <br /> 30 . <br /> 31 3. APPROVAL OF THE AUGUST 28, 1990 COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve the minutes with the <br /> 34 following corrections: <br /> 35 <br /> 36 page 1, line 10: time correction from 7:00 to 7:30; <br /> 37 page 6, line 32: delete "the" at the end of the line and replace with <br /> 38 "one." <br /> 39 page 8, line 30: insert after "which will" the words "be used towards" <br /> 40 and change "cover" to "covering." <br /> 41 page 8, line 40: delete "coach" and insert "resident." <br /> 42 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 4.
