RESOLUTION NO. 91-036 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PAPER-PROCUREMENT POLICY <br /> FOR THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> WHEREAS, Hennepin County,in resolution 89-12-962,requires municipalities to adopt the <br /> same or similar procedures for paper procurement in order to remain eligible <br /> for funding under the Hennepin County Funding Assistance Policy for <br /> recycling; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony supports the use of recycled paper, as its use by the <br /> City will contribute the further creation and expansion of markets for recycled <br /> paper; and <br /> WHEREAS, the following provisions are hereby adopted as the paper procurement policy <br /> for the City of St. Anthony: <br /> 1. The policy of the City will be to use recycled paper <br /> containing at least 40% recycled fiber/post-consumer <br /> material. Exceptions to the policy may be granted after <br /> review by the St. Anthony Recycling Committee. <br /> 2. Recycled content paper should be used in all <br /> convenience copiers throughout the City for one-sided <br /> copying. <br /> 3. All paper utilized in computer printers should be <br /> recycled paper including form-fed and laser printers. <br /> 4. All one-time-use-only (such as memo paper, note pads, <br /> telephone message pads and notebook paper) should be <br /> recycled paper. <br /> 5. All stationary and business cards should be printed on <br /> recycled paper. <br /> 6. The City should maintain in-house stocks of papers <br /> commonly used by the City with a. minimum of 40% <br /> recycled fiber/post-consumer material and process orders <br /> for printing on recycled paper in a routine manner. <br /> 7. Any new contract(s) for convenience copiers should <br /> require the capability of handling two-sided.copying on <br /> recycled paper. <br />
