01/02/96 17: 13 'a612 937 6S22 VESTI;OOD PRO SN'S 4011
DRAFT— Silver Lake Center EAW Page 9
January 2, 1996
C. Will the project require connection to a public water supply?H Yes ❑No
If yes, identify the supply, the DNR water application permit number of the supply, and the quantity to be
used.
The site will be connected to the St.Anthony Village public water supply via two 10-Inch lines;the
front of the site and the back end of the site tap Into municipal water below the Intersection of 39th
Avenue and Silver Lake Road and 39th Avenue and Stinson Boulevard, respectively. The water lines
Interior to the site are owned and maintained by the property owner.
The demand per day will be typical of retallicommerclal developments of this sort. It Is expected
that the quantity of water used will be proportional to the sanitary wastewater produced. Assuming
consumption Is approximately 110 percent of wastewater generation rate(see Item 19a),the
• estimated water demand Is 32,232 gallons per day on a maximum potential average daily basis.
According to the St.Anthony Village Public7.Works Department,no adverse effects on public water
supply are anticipated.
14. Water-related Land Use Management Districts Does any pari of the project site involve a shoreland zoning
district,a delineated 100-year flood plain,or a state or federally designated wild or scenic river land use district?
0 Yes Q No If yes, identify the district and discuss the compatibility of the project with the land use restrictions
of the district.
Although the northwest corner of the site Is within 1,000 feet of Silver Lake(DNR#62-83P),which has a
Recreational Development Shoreland Classification, this area does not fell within a shoreland zoning
district because the St.Anthony Village does not have a shoreland zoning ordinance and has not
received official notice from the DNR to adopts shoreland ordinance.
15. Solis Approximate depth(in feet)to:
Ground water: minimum/maximurn 11*feet(southwestern portion of site)to_ t feet(_—portion
of the site). Based on on-and off-site wells
Bedrock: 100*fee Based onth e 1989 Remsey County Geologic Atlas
Describe the soils on the site, giving SCS classifications,if known(SCS interpretations and soil boring logs
need not be attached).
Because the site is within a developed urban area, the area is mapped as"Urban Land"In the 1977 Soll
Survey of Washington and Ramsey Counties. Adjacent upland areas are mapped as"Urban Land-
Hayden-Kingsley complex."
The following Is a description of the site geology/hydrogeology excerpted from the Phase 1 ESA,based
on the 1992 Ramsey County Geologic Ates:
The unconsolidated sedimentarydeposits M the vicinity of the site are Grantsburg Sublobe
till deposits, which consistof loan=textured till that ranges from loamy sand to clay. These
deposits are generally gray In color, but will oxidize to yellow-brown and are commonly
banded with reddish-brown siuperior lobe till or sand. Thick yellow-brown or gray bands
with thin red stringers occur near the.land surface.
Westwood Professional Services,Inc. '
