Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve a County reappraisal of the property owned <br /> 2 by Gary Danyo, 3540 Edward St. N.E., as requested. <br /> 3 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 4 Mayor Ranallo noted the meeting this evening was to discuss property valuation. He <br /> 5 encouraged property owners to come and visit with the Council in the fall when they are <br /> 6 discussing the coming year's proposed budget. <br /> 7 Richard Talbot, 3128 Wilson Street N.E., distributed a copy of records he had kept in regard <br /> 8 to his valuation and photographs of his home. Mr. Talbot noted he frequently had water <br /> 9 problems in his basement and noted he had 7 inches of standing water in his basement after a <br /> 10 100 year storm event and 11 inches after another 100 year storm event. He noted in the 3 <br /> 11 years prior to this his valuation has increased by a total of 6.9%. This year his,valuation <br /> 12 increased by 6.5%. <br /> 13 Mayor Ranallo asked Mr. Talbot if he felt he would be able to sell the property for the <br /> 14 assessed value of $99,000. <br /> 15 Mr. Talbot stated that due to the water problem, he did not feel he could sell the property for <br /> that amount. <br /> 17 Motion by Marks, second by Enrooth to approve a County reappraisal of the property owned <br /> 18 by Richard Talbot, 3128 Wilson Street N.E., as requested. <br /> 19 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 20 Peter Osipenko, 3417 Edward St. N.E., stated he felt the valuation of his property was too <br /> 21 high <br /> 22 Mayor Ranallo cautioned Mr. Osipenko that his valuation may increase and encouraged him <br /> 23 to contact a Realtor. Mayor Ranallo noted the motion could be made to reappraise the <br /> 24 property and Mr. Osipenko could decline when the Appraiser's Office contacted him if he <br /> 25 changed his mind. <br /> 26 Ms. Osipenko stated this was what he wanted. . <br /> 27 Motion by Marks, second by Wagner to approve a County reappraisal of the property owned <br /> 28 by Peter Osipenko, 3417 Edward Street N.E., as requested. <br /> 29 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Councilmember Faust encouraged property owners to file their Minnesota form M1PR, as <br /> 1 they may be entitled to a refund from the State of Minnesota. <br /> 32 <br />
