REPORTS FROM COMMISSIONS AND STAFF.
A. Planning Commission—January 20, 2004.
1. Resolution 04-019 re: Request for a conditional use permit and variance for Ali's
Mini Mart, 3259 Stinson Boulevard.
It was noted a request for a variance and a conditional use permit to allow additional fuel pumps
at Ali's Mini Mart, 3259 Stinson Boulevard, was considered at a public hearing held before the
Planning Commission on January 20, 2004. It was stated the Planning Commission
recommended Council deny said variance request, as the property could be put to reasonable use
and the circumstances regarding the variance were not unique to the property. It was also
recommended Council deny said conditional use permit, as the size of the lot was deemed
insufficient to warrant this size of expansion and the addition would become a safety issue for
persons residing or working in the vicinity due to the increased traffic that would be created with
additional fuel pumps.
