CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> APRIL 13, 2004 COUNCIL MEETING <br /> 1. Barb Suciu has been appointed newCity Clerk, starting May 3. <br /> 2. Joel Hewitt, Fire Chief for the last four years, has resigned to take a position with the <br /> Moorhead Fire Department. I am currently doing an internal posting with the Fire <br /> Department. <br /> 3. Lauderdale and Falcon Heights will.approve the police contracts for 2005 and 2006 in <br /> April. We will approve it in May. <br /> 4. The new Public Works facility will be completed in the end of April. It will be dedicated <br /> on June 24. <br /> 5. Construction on the new Fire Station is underway. November 1 is the estimated date for <br /> completion. <br /> 6. Completion of the new liquor store will be around May 20. The customer <br /> appreciation/grand opening is June 21 - 25. The restaurant permit has been applied for. <br /> 7. Silver Lake Village Update <br /> a. 39`h Avenue bid opening is April 20. <br /> b. Property owners meeting is April 22. <br /> C. Public hearing is April 27. <br /> d. Design meetings are scheduled for every Tuesday at 1:00 pm. <br /> e. Office staff meetings are scheduled for every Tuesday at 2:30 pm. <br /> f. Full development meetings are scheduled for every other Thursday. <br /> g. Final plans for the liquor store are complete. <br /> h. Pratt/Hunt, Dominion,will appear before the Planning Commission for final <br /> PUD in June or July Housing construction could begin in October. <br /> i. Demolishing began April 8. <br />
