RESOLUTION 76 - 046 <br /> RESOLUTION FOR PROJECT FOR CORRECTINr <br /> REGULATORY AND WARNING SIGN DEFICIEN <br /> i <br /> CIES ROADWAY SIGNING <br /> a <br /> The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Sundland. <br /> and moved for adoption by Councilman Haik. <br /> U11EREAS, under the Federal Highway Safety Act of 1966, one of the objectives <br /> set forth by the Department of Transportation is the conformance of all traffic <br /> control devices to the National Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for <br /> Streets and Highways (MUTCD); and <br /> WHEREAS, funds are available through the Federal Highway Administration for <br /> the replacement of non-standard devices; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony, Minnesota, is desirous of bringing the <br />'•, traffic control devices on streets and roads under its jurisdiction into con- <br /> formance with National -Standards: <br /> i <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor is authorized to enter into <br /> • an Agreement with the Minnesota Highway Department, whereby the City agrees to <br /> comply with the conditions set forth in the Project Description and will remove, <br /> replace, or install all regulatory and warning signs necessary to comply -,.Pith <br /> National standards 010TCD) as determined through an inventory of inplace signs <br /> and a survey of needed additional signs.
