RESOLUTION 76 - 047 <br /> A RESOLUTION REGARDING TIMING OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS <br /> LOCATED AT SILVER LAKE ROAD AND SILVER LANE <br /> WHEREAS the City Council of the City of St. Anthony has , following <br /> numerous complaints , reviewed the timing or cycling of the signals <br /> at Silver Lane and Silver Lake Road and has concluded there is in- <br /> adequate time for youngsters and elderly people to cross the street <br /> safely during the walk cycle and, <br /> WHEREAS the turning movement signals are actuated during the walk <br /> cycle causing further danger or fear of danger to pedestrians and , <br /> WHEREAS the City has been informed that the signals could be cycled <br /> to allow more time for walking and to not allow turning during the <br /> walk cycle. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br /> • St. Anthony requests that Ramsey County alter the timing of said <br /> signals to allow pedestrians to cross a minimum of three fourths of <br /> the street before the signal allows turning movements on the amber <br /> flashing "don ' t walk" sign accuates . <br /> Adopted October 12 , 1976 . <br /> Mayor <br /> l <br /> ATTEST: C '(,tL,�- <br /> Clerk <br /> Ci Man ger <br />
