RESOLUTION 80-022 <br /> A RESOLUTION ELIMINATING THE POSITION <br /> • OF FIRE MOTOR OPERATOR FROM THE ORGANI- <br /> ZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE ST. ANTHONY <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, the . St. Anthony Fire Department presently has the <br /> following job classifications: Firefighter, Fire Motor Operator, <br /> and Captain, <br /> WHEREAS, The City has the sole authority to create, modify, and <br /> eliminate job classifications and define organizational structure <br /> under Minnesota Statutes 179 .66, Subdivision 1, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to eliminate the position`of Fire <br /> Motor Operator n interest of efficiency. . <br /> i <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the position of Fire Motor <br /> Operator is hereby eliminated from the organizational structure <br /> of the St. Anthony Fire Department effective March 28 , 1980. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby directed to <br /> reflect the job responsibilities of the Fire Motor Operator position <br /> in the job description of full time Firefighter and the present <br /> Reserve/Part• Paid 'Fire Motor Operator job classification is to be <br /> considered Firefighter-Equipment Operator. <br /> • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all present full time Fire Motor <br /> Operators shall be reclassified as step five (top step) Firefighters <br /> for the purpose of determining wages and benefits attendant thereto. <br /> Adopted this �:a,5—day of 1980. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Reviewed for Administration: <br /> City0fanager <br />
