/ RESOLUTION 80- 026 <br /> A RESOLUTION ASSENTING TO THE <br /> INCLUSION OF S.T . ANTHONY IN A <br /> CABLE SERVICE TERRITORY AS PRO- <br /> POSED BY THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> WHEREAS , the City of St. Anthony is considering making possible <br /> the provision of cable television services to its citizens; and <br /> WHEREAS , Chapter 238 of- the -Minnesota State Laws has authorized <br /> the Minnesota Cable Communications Board to specify the procedures <br /> of franchising cable communications companies; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Minnesota Cable Communications Board has required, <br /> in 4 MCAR 4 . 111 , that a Cable Service Territory must be approved <br /> by the Minnesota Cable Communications Board prior to any fran- <br /> chising agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Roseville has declared an - intention of estab- <br /> lishing a Cable Service Territory which would include the cities <br /> of Roseville, Arden Hills, Falcon Heights., Lauderdale, Little <br /> Canada, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks , St. Anthony, <br /> Shoreview and Vadnais Heights; and <br /> WHEREAS , the passage of this Resolution will in no way restrict <br /> the right of the City of St. Anthony to determine : <br /> a) whether and/or when cable is brought into the <br /> community; <br /> b) which cable company or companies will be awarded <br /> a franchise by the municipality to provide cable <br /> services within its boundaries; <br /> c) what the specific terms of the franchise ordinance <br /> will be ; <br /> d) whether the municipality. shall enter into a joint <br /> powers agreement with other municipalities , and <br /> what the terms of any such agreement might be; <br /> e) whether the municipality wishes to remain in the <br /> established CST, or to apply to the MCCB for in- <br /> clusion within another proposed CST or another <br /> established adjoining CST. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br /> of St. Anthony assents to the inclusion of the City of St. Anthony <br /> in the Cable Service Territory as proposed by the City of Roseville. <br /> Adopted this day of Ap9i 1980 . <br /> • , � yor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> ' -, City Clerk . <br /> Reviewed for Administration: <br /> �/� ' i manager <br />
