RESOLUTION 80-029 A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE USE OF THE CITY'S VOTING MACHINES WHEREAS', various public and private parties desire to occasionally use the City' s voting machines . WHEREAS, the City• Council desires to establish a policy for the use of said machines. WHEREAS, said policy shall apply to any and all parties desiring to use said machines. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following policy shall be for the use of City voting machines : 1. The City- Council, through the City Manager, shall administer said policy. 2 . The City Council reserves the right to reject re- quests for the. use of said machines when it deems that the request is not in the best interest of the City. 3. All requests must bein writing stating- such infor- mation as the City Manager- deems necessary. 4 . Adequate insurance coverage must be provided. 5. A rental fee of $25 per machine per election. 6 . The labor fee for moving and set up shall be 1. 5 times salary' for regular working hours and 2 .25 times salary for overtime hours. 7. The transportation fee shall be no charge within St. Anthony; 40� per mile outside St. Anthony. 8. If the applicant is knowledgeable in the operation of the machines, an on-duty voting machine supervisor will not be necessary. 9 . If the applicant is not knowledgeable in the opera- tion of the machines, an on-duty voting machine super- visor shall be required at the labor rates specified in #6 . 10. A supervisor or election judge will be provided upon request at the labor rates specified in #6 . 11. A cash deposit in an amount deemed reasonably adequate to cover all expenses shall be paid in advance.
