RESOLUTION 80-029 <br /> A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE USE OF <br /> THE CITY'S VOTING MACHINES <br /> WHEREAS', various public and private parties desire to occasionally <br /> use the City' s voting machines . <br /> WHEREAS, the City• Council desires to establish a policy for the use <br /> of said machines. <br /> WHEREAS, said policy shall apply to any and all parties desiring to <br /> use said machines. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following policy shall be <br /> for the use of City voting machines : <br /> 1. The City- Council, through the City Manager, shall <br /> administer said policy. <br /> 2 . The City Council reserves the right to reject re- <br /> quests for the. use of said machines when it deems that <br /> the request is not in the best interest of the City. <br /> 3. All requests must bein writing stating- such infor- <br /> mation as the City Manager- deems necessary. <br /> 4 . Adequate insurance coverage must be provided. <br /> 5. A rental fee of $25 per machine per election. <br /> 6 . The labor fee for moving and set up shall be 1. 5 <br /> times salary' for regular working hours and 2 .25 times <br /> salary for overtime hours. <br /> 7. The transportation fee shall be no charge within <br /> St. Anthony; 40� per mile outside St. Anthony. <br /> 8. If the applicant is knowledgeable in the operation <br /> of the machines, an on-duty voting machine supervisor <br /> will not be necessary. <br /> 9 . If the applicant is not knowledgeable in the opera- <br /> tion of the machines, an on-duty voting machine super- <br /> visor shall be required at the labor rates specified <br /> in #6 . <br /> 10. A supervisor or election judge will be provided <br /> upon request at the labor rates specified in #6 . <br /> 11. A cash deposit in an amount deemed reasonably <br /> adequate to cover all expenses shall be paid in <br /> advance. <br />
