1 ►3 � <br /> RESOLUTION 81-034 <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING AN ADMINISTRATIVE <br /> POLICY FOR THE COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD <br /> WHEREAS , the City of St. Anthony has erected a Community Bulletin <br /> Board- at approximately 2910 Kenzie Terrace; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony desires ,to adopt a policy in <br /> regard to messages placed on the Bulletin Board. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the following guidelines will <br /> be used in placing messages on the Community Bulletin Board. <br /> Community Bulletin/Billboard Sign <br /> 1. The Community Bulletin/Billboard is that marquee which is located <br /> at approximately ..2910 Kenzie Terrace. <br /> 2. Billboard spacing guide is a form used to print messages <br /> specifying data for the community billboards. <br /> 3. Content. <br /> a. The Community bulletin board will include newsworthy infor- <br /> mation' and notices of organizational events , public meetings , <br /> • activities , opportunities and programs. <br /> 4 . Operation. <br /> a. Normally, the sponsoring organization must be local .City of <br /> St. Anthony and the activity or event must be taking place <br /> locally or originating in St. Anthony. <br /> b. Priority order of public information will be as follows <br /> (within space and time considerations) : <br /> 1) Public meeting notices , <br /> 2) Notices of events of a community-wide nature, <br /> 3.)• Notices of events relating to a narrower portion of <br /> the community. <br /> 5. Political Announcements . <br /> a. Only activities, meetings , etc. which are open to the general <br /> public shall be announced. Activities or meetings where a <br /> fee is charged must have the fee noted in the announcement. <br /> b. No announcement may endorse, urge, support or attempt to <br /> influence the public with regard to any candidate or issue, <br /> nor may any announcement be used for making statements, <br /> promises , or any other campaign messages. Names of candidates <br /> or issues shall be used only when such names are necessary to <br /> identify the purpose of, or speakers at, a meeting or an <br /> event. <br />
