u RESOLUTION 81-057 A RESOLUTION REQUESTING 1980-81 LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANCE GRANT FUNDS FROM METROPOLITAN COUNCIL WHEREAS , the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, Minnesota Statutes, Section 473 . 851-473. 872 , require that City of St. Anthony prepare and submit a comprehensive plan to the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS , 'the Metropolitan Council and City of St. Anthony entered into a contract, numbered- 78138 and dated May 30 , 1978, for a local Planning Assistance Grant for 1976-77 grant- funds in the amount of $3,747 . 00 to assist City of St. .Anthony in carrying out the required planning; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has allocated $2 ,.595.00 to City of St. Anthony in additional grant funds for 1978-79 ; and WHEREAS , the Metropolitan Council has allocated $3 ,009 .00 to the City of St. Anthony in additional grant funds for 1980-81; and WHEREAS , the total grants from .the Metropolitan .Council will not exceed 750 of the total cost or 1.00o of the remaining cost of carry- ing out the required planning which is documented in Appendix A • of the above-referenced contract; and WHEREAS , the City of St. Anthony has made a timely submission of its. Comprehensive Plan to. the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, a sum of $1,505 . 00 will be paid to the City of St. Anthony upon determination of the Metropolitan Council that the plan is adequate; and WEHREAS, the Metropolitan Council has reviewed the plan and found it adequate. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of St. Anthony requests the additional 1980-81 grant funds and authorizes the Acting City Manager to execute the Agreement Amendment to the above-referenced contract on behalf of the City.
