f <br /> f d <br /> Contract Number <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> By and Between the <br /> MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (Hereinafter "department"), <br /> and " <br /> __ fTv nF Sr ANTNr1NV (Hereinafter "grantee,,") <br /> : ts. <br /> WHEREAS, Minn. Stat. § 18.023 provides funds on certain conditions for grants. to local units of:•govern- <br /> ment for shade tree sanitation programs on public and private lands,and for reforestation on public.lands, and <br /> WHEREAS, grantee is properly authorized to apply for such grants, to. finance its sham of its costs and <br /> represents that the budget for its sanitation and reforestation program for calendar year 198,1 is $ 17.300 <br /> NO.W THEREFORE, department and grantee in consideration of the respective promises cont Iairferl.herein <br /> agree as follows: <br /> 1. Subject to legislative appropriations and aggregate demand department shall pay grantee up to 50 (%) of <br /> the-cost of grantee's sanitation and reforest tion program: <br /> .2. Grants to certain cities, counties an towns may include 90%of the cost of the first 50 trees planted under <br /> the grantee's reforestation program; ift e,grantee qualifies.*for such payment under Minn. Stat. § 18.023 <br /> (Supp. 1979). <br /> 3. Grantee shall submit quarterly re liests for payment to department setting forth all information required <br /> by department. <br /> 4. Grantee shall fully comply with Minn. Stat., § 18.023 (Supp. 1979):and all rules promulgated pursuant <br /> thereto and shall maintain business records in conformance with generally accepted accounting and auditing <br /> principles to fully evidence its costs and expenses and allow department full access thereto. Any cost incurred <br /> for an activity not in compliance with such said statute and rules shall be ineligible for reimbursement. Grantee <br /> agrees to promptly return all funds which have been paid, to grantee by department for any costs incurred in <br /> violation of the terms of this agreement of the said statute and rules. <br /> 5. Grantee represents that none of its officers or employees.has any financial interest in this contract or <br /> proceeds payable thereunder. <br /> Z 1 <br /> 6. This agreement shall cover the period January 1, 19804 to December 31, 1981V <br /> 7.
