11 <br /> • <br /> RESOLUTION 84-039 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER <br /> TO ENTER INTO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL WEATHER <br /> SERVICE REGARDING THE PURCHASE OF A DOPPLER RADAR <br /> SYSTEM ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony desires to donate to the United States of <br /> America, Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, <br /> National Weather Service a Triton Doppler Radar System; and <br /> WHEREAS, bids were let and subsequently awarded to Kavouras, Inc. ; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Radar System shall be tested and evaluated by the National Weather <br /> Service for a suitable time period. Results of the evaluation shall be submitted <br /> to the City in written form and will indicate acceptance or rejection of the <br /> Radar System._ Upon acceptance by the National Weather Service and in accordance <br /> with -the Agireement, ownership of the Radar System shall be transferred from the <br /> City to the National Weather Service. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor <br /> • and City Manager to enter into the Agreement with the National Weather Service <br /> on behalf of the City of St. Anthony. <br /> Adopted this 1 1 day of S b T- 84. <br /> Way o <br /> ATTEST: (24� <br /> City Clerk <br /> ern,Reviewed for administration: � <br /> City Manager <br /> :_:• � - - -rte <br />
