ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> BUDGET WORK SESSION <br /> September, 2 , 1980 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7 :05 P.M. <br /> Present: Haik, Ranallo, Letourneau, Marks. <br /> Absent: Sundland. <br /> Also present: Hamer, Public Works Director <br /> Johnson, Clerk/Treasurer <br /> Fornell, City Manager <br /> Mr. Hamer lead the Council through a comprehensive review of the <br /> public works budgetary areas. <br /> Highlights of the discussion were: <br /> (1) General update on activities and programs. <br /> (2) Appropriations for increased city building costs in 1981 and <br /> review of the energy audits. <br /> (3) Improvements made in inspection services. <br /> (4) Increases in street maintenance costs. <br /> (5) Equipment needs. <br /> (6) Review of capital improvements including to streets , . the city <br /> hall, sanitary sewers and. to the water production and distri- <br /> bution system. Considerable discussion ensued about what is the <br /> higher priority, costs, and financing including the use of <br /> reserves, special levies and bond issues. <br /> (7) , The need for a sewer rate increase and the magnitude of the <br /> inflow/infiltration problems. <br /> No specific modifications were proposed in any budget object code, <br /> at that time. <br /> The meeting was adourned at 10 :00 P.M. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Clerk <br />
