CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> March 14 , 1981 <br /> WORK SESSION <br /> The meeting was convened at 8 :20 A.M. <br /> Present: Marks, Sundland, Haik, Ranallo, Letourneau. <br /> Also present: Fornell, City Manager. <br /> City Manager Fornell gave a visual presentation on how he saw the <br /> proposed program working. There was discussion on salary ranges, <br /> relationship to the market and job evaluation, "benchmarking" <br /> total compensation and how performance appraisals. relate to com- <br /> pensation. It was recognized that the program was based upon the <br /> application of disciplined judgement. <br /> The Council requested that the Manager check with the City Attorney <br /> on administrative aspects of the program and adoption/implementation <br /> alternatives. Further refinement in the evaluation guidelines was <br /> also desired. The matter is to be placed on the March 24th agenda. <br /> SThe meeting was. adjourned at 8 :55 A.M. when Congressman Sabo and <br /> his aides arrived. to discuss. areas of interest to local government <br /> officials in his district.
