Registered Land Survey Noi 196 <br /> The hearing was opened and the chairman outlined the rezoning to be considered. <br /> The petition from the property owners along Stinson Btvd. between St. Anthony Rd. <br /> (vacated) and 33rd Avenue K.E. was read. <br /> After a lengthy discussion and hearing all the comments from the floor the hear- <br /> ing was closed and Springer introduced the following motion: <br /> Moved that the hearing be recessed until October 6, 1964 at which time-the <br /> contemplated commercial development by Century Capitol Corporation may be <br /> reviewed. In the interim the board may consult with Village Attorney and also <br /> examine traffic problems or any other problems relative to such a development. <br /> The Motion was- seconded by Sowden. <br /> Voting <br /> Aye: Springer, Sowden <br /> Nay: Coulter, Emond, Englund <br /> Motion defeated, <br /> Moved by Englund seconded by.,Emond 'to rezone &li of the property as previously <br /> described from commercial ,to R-1 single family residential for the following <br /> reasons: <br /> 1 . The entire area is R-l. single family .residential in character and any <br /> • development other than R-1wouldnot be in keeping with the now existing develop- <br /> ment. <br /> 2. The size of the undeveloped area is -sufticien.t, to permit a feasible and <br /> very desirable residential development. <br />
