PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> SPECIAL MEETING December 5, 1966 <br /> 1 . The special meeting of the Planning Board was called to order at 7:40 P.M. <br /> by Chairman Howitz. <br /> 2. The following members were present: <br /> Louis Howitz, Duane Miedtke, Curtis Englund, Fred Katterheinrich, Dr. Thomas <br /> Emond and Robert Mesenbring. <br /> Absent : Donald Kronk <br /> Also present were Norbert Maher and Harry Lekson <br /> 3. a. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Mesenbring, it was moved to rec- <br /> ommend to the Council to grant front and rear yard variance on Lot 1 , Block 1, <br /> St. Anthony Terrace Manor. This is a 10 ft. variance in front and 2 ft. in back. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> b. Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Englund, it was moved to recommend <br /> to the Council to grant rear yard variance of 3 feet on lot 6, block 1, Olsons <br /> Addition. A letter was requested from the neighbor on lot 5 to show that <br /> they are in agreement with this plot plan. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> c. Request by Francis D. Van Auken at 2804 - 30th Avenue N.E. for a garage <br /> permit was delayed until the next meeting to allow Fred Katterheinrich to look <br /> at the property and make recommendations as to the placement of said garage. <br /> d. Upon motion by Katterheinrich, seconded by Mesenbring to recommend to <br /> the Council to grant permission to Ledwein Carpet Co. to move sign at 2550 <br /> Kenzie Terrace to his new locations at 2503 Kenzie Terrace. The sign is <br /> 34'X2 ' or 85 sq. ft. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> e. Bill Chapman of Naso,i, Wehrman, Knight and Chapman presented preliminary <br /> plans of the shopping center area and some recommendations for the control of <br /> traffic in and out of the center. Also discussed was the continuation of Lowry <br /> Avenue to Highway 8 and its effect on the traffic on Kenzie Terrace. Other <br /> traffic changes were discussed pertaining to the intersection of Kenzie Terrace <br /> and St. Anthony Boulevard. Mr. Chapman will attend the next Planning Board <br /> meeting and bring in more information on the study. <br /> 4. Moved by Howitz seconded by Englund to adjourn. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Harry Lekso <br />
