I PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> 2 DECEMBER 21, 1993 <br /> �3 PAGE 6 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 He understood the Commission wants to make an adjustment on <br /> 6 the allowable size of the sign to have a maximum height; and <br /> 7 to work something out with landscaping. In addition, the <br /> 8 Commission would like staff to look at the material the sign <br /> 9 is constructed with as part of the ordinance and also to <br /> 10 remove the bonus provision. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 VII. COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Commissioner Bergstrom. No comments. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Commissioner Thompson. Wanted to wish the Commission happy <br /> 17 holidays . <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Commissioner Franzese. Also wanted to wish the Commission <br /> 20 happy holidays . <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Commissioner Gondorchin. Inquired about the Central Park <br /> 23 redevelopment . The City Manager indicated they had spent <br /> 14 quite a bit of money on the soccer fields and said there was <br /> 5 not any money left in the charitable gambling funds for <br /> 26 anything else. Commissioner Gondorchin also inquired about <br /> 27 the sidewalk surrounding the field. The City Manager <br /> 28 indicated that had not been funded to be constructed yet . <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Commissioner Madden. Inquired if there was anything new on <br /> 31 Cub moving into Apache . The City Manager indicated he had <br /> 32 not heard anything yet but was still very optimistic about <br /> 33 the store opening in October or November of 1994 . The City <br /> 34 Manager also indicated that the rumor regarding Apache Plaza <br /> 35 going bankrupt was not true. Commissioner Madden also <br /> 36 reported on the meeting of the Development/Redevelopment <br /> 37 Task Force discussing losing the tax base in the commercial <br /> 38 and residential areas . The thrust of the Task Force is to <br /> 39 identify the tracks of land in the City needing <br /> 40 redevelopment or development and he asked the Commission for <br /> 41 input so he could put together a list to bring to the next <br /> 42 Task Force meeting. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Commissioner Makowske. Wanted to congratulate the <br /> 5 Commissioners who worked on keeping the library open. <br /> 406 <br /> 47 <br />
