Ms. Moore-Sykes <br /> 2 indicated that there will be nothing built over the easement, that it is merely a land-locked <br /> 3 easement, and the surveyors will file once the City vacates it. <br /> 4 Commissioner Gondorchin indicated that as long as the City doesn't need the easement for <br /> 5 emergency access, the vacation should be granted. <br /> 6 Motion by Bergstrom, seconded by Franzese, to concur with the City Council in recommending <br /> 7 the proposed vacation of easement as it appears to serve no purpose. <br /> 8 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 9 C. Permitted Conditional Uses - Commercial Zoned Districts <br /> 10 Ms. Moore-Sykes reported to the Commission that because of the apparent inappropriateness of <br /> 11 the Solid Rock Church in a commercial district, the City Council has requested the Planning <br /> 12 Commission review permitted conditional uses for all of the zoning districts. She continued a <br /> 13 recommendation from the Planning Commission would be made to the City Council, and upon <br /> 14 three readings of the proposed ordinance change, the change will become effective. <br /> 'P5 Chair Bergstrom inquired if the Commission should review and make a recommendation now, or <br /> 16 would a subgroup be more appropriate. <br /> 17 Commissioner Gondorchin suggested Staff provide a list with the districts, permanent uses, and <br /> 18 other information, and the Planning Commission will make a recommendation based on that. He <br /> 19 continued that he would volunteer to be part of the recommendation group. <br /> 20 Commissioner Makowske indicated that uses refer to either a commercial use or a specific use, <br /> 21 and that a church may be appropriate in a commercial use but not a retail use. <br /> 22 Chair Bergstrom indicated a subgroup comprised of himself, Commissioner Gondorchin and <br /> 23 Commissioner Delmonico, will make a recommendation by the next regular City Council meeting. <br /> 24 D. Sign Ordinance <br /> 25 Ms. Moore-Sykes reported the City Council has requested the Planning Commission to review <br /> 26 the current sign ordinance as it relates to professional buildings such as Apache Plaza Medical <br /> 27 Building. She continued that the City currently has no definition of a commercial establishment <br /> 28 in the Ordinance. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that City Council has requested the Planning <br /> 29 Commission review and make a recommendation on the definition of a commercial establishment. <br /> She continued that upon a recommendation, the City Council will hold three public readings of <br /> 4p, the proposed revision and the change will become effective upon publication. <br />
