Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> February 17, 1998 <br /> • Page 9 <br /> 1 reported the new Police Officer who was introduced to Council in January has since resigned. <br /> 2 Commissioner Kaczor reported his attendance at the recent Council meetings. The Council <br /> 3 approved the installation of a new podium in the Chambers so that people can stand while they <br /> 4 address Council. The Council talked of a possible expansion at Faith Methodist Church and <br /> 5 within the Industrial Park, and they approved the Chazin Homes request. The Council will begin <br /> 6 live broadcast on cable television on March 10, 1998. <br /> 7 Commissioner Kaczor reported he will be attending a Land Use Workshop on February 19, 1998. <br /> 8 Commissioner Thompson reported the proposed construction of a home by Janice Kahan has <br /> 9 been completed and the home sold for the low$200,000's. <br /> 10 Commissioner Horst commented that the Freedom Gas Station is open but the Blimpie Subs is <br /> 11 not. <br /> 12 Chair Bergstrom noted that there was extensive discussion at the Goal Setting meeting in regard <br /> 13 to the Stonehouse. The heating and ventilation system is either worn out or grossly inadequate or <br /> 14 both. The structure of the building needs a complete overhaul and the establishment is not <br /> making any money. The Liquor Operations Manager asked for some direction on this issue. <br /> 6 There has been no direction given by Council on this matter but a number of different options <br /> 17 were discussed. <br /> 18 Commissioner Makowske noted that due to a meeting at work he may not be able to attend the <br /> 19 Joint Meeting on March 4, 1998. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 X.
