Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
January 1.8, 2000
• Page 10 -
is handled by another area within the City.
Additionally, Mr..Horst would agree that the bus tour is intended to promote awareness amongst
the Commission about certain areas of the City.
In connection with the Apache project, Mr. Horst felt that Mr. Tankenoff would be searching for
approval from the City and the Planning Commission and he encouraged the Commissioners to
determine if the change in direction for Apache was an acceptable variation. Naturally, Mr.
Tankenoff would need to begin the project at the Planning Commission level and he encouraged
the Commissioners to be the voice of the City, hold public hearings, and then ultimately report to
the Council.
Regarding the green space for the St. Anthony Shopping Center, Mr. Horst believed this was
moving quickly towards more of an issue for the Parks Commission and that the role of the
Planning Commission was decreasing for that project.
Mr. Horst closed his presentation by stating that he is anticipating a successful year as Council
Liaison to the Planning Commission and looks forward to providing a link between the people
and the City.
X. ADJOURNMENT.
Motion by Commissioner Stille, second by Commissioner Melsha, to adjourn the meeting at 9:20
p.m.
Motion carried unanimously.
Respectfully submitted,
Sue Selseth
TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc.
•
