City of St. Anthony
Planning Commission Meeting Minutes
February 15, 2000
• Page 9
1. Salvation Army Camp Property.
Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that there have not been any new developments on the Salvation
Army property .

Stille inquired if a planner needed to be considered for that property. Bergstrom re-
sponded that the City would need to set aside funds for a planner for Apache and possibly
for the Salvation Army property as well. One question that would arise, Bergstrom
stated, is the entity that would be responsible for the planner.
2. Bus Tour(April 15).
Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that City Manager Michael Morrison thought it would be a good
idea to have the bus tour in conjunction with the joint meeting. Ms. Moore-Sykes had
checked with Public Works Director Jay Hartman about obtaining a bus and he responded
that the City of New Brighton had been cooperative in the past to allow the City to use
the vans and busses available. Ms. Moore-Sykes reminded the Commission that she
would need a count of the number of people that would be attending the bus tour.

Bergstrom is looking forward to viewing examples of both positive and negative issues--
for example, property maintenance, both commercial and residential.
Tillmann stated that she would like to see examples of companies that currently have con-
ditional use permits.
Thomas inquired if the Commission would discuss a possible route for the bus tour.
Bergstrom directed Ms. Moore-Sykes to place that item on next month's agenda.

3. Joint City Council/Planning Commission Meeting=April 18.
Ms. Moore-Sykes reminded the Commission that a joint meeting with the City Council
would take place on April 18, 2000. Although this is the Commission's regular monthly
meeting, Ms. Moore-Sykes stated that, in the past, the meeting has begun earlier than
usual to allow for extra time.
Stille reminded the Commission that the Volunteer Dinner is scheduled for April 28,
2000. Ms. Moore-Sykes added that the evening has always been enjoyable and involves
some type of entertainment, motivational speaker, and excellent food.
X.
