Y <br /> Planning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> • July 18, 2000 <br /> Page 11 <br /> 1 inquired about the plan for all stormwater runoff, and in this respect, Isom invited Todd Hubmer, <br /> 2 WSB & Associates,to address the Commission. <br /> 3 Mr. Hubmer directed the Commission's attention to a letter and attachment dated July 10, 2000 <br /> 4 which addressed the issue of street reconstruction and provided an update to the program. <br /> 5 Bergstrom confirmed that the City has been on record as supplying 100-year flood protection to <br /> 6 the residents. <br /> 7 Bergstrom requested that Commissioner Hatch be the representative to the City Council meeting <br /> 8 on July 25, 2000. <br /> 9 Bergstrom also reviewed that a special meeting would be held on August 1, 2000. <br /> 10 IX. COMMISSION INPUT. <br /> 11 1. Commissioners Comments. <br /> 12 Stille inquired about the Livable Communities Grant. In that respect, Assistant City Manager <br /> 13 Isom distributed some follow-up information.regarding the grant. Isom requested that a <br /> volunteer attend an upcoming meeting with City's Consultant, John Shardlow, regarding this <br /> 41 issue. The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2000. Thomas <br /> 16 volunteered to attend the meeting. <br /> 17 Hatch thanked Isom for following through on the issue of stormwater runoff. <br /> 18 Melsha noted that there was a provision on the enforcement of sign ordinances and he stated that <br /> 19 it might be a good idea to consider such in the future. <br /> 20 Tillmann noted that one of the residents had been told that,with regard to the street <br /> 21 reconstruction,that they would be able to get in and out of their driveways and that has not been <br /> 22 possible. She felt it was important that the promises be kept to the residents. <br /> 23 Tillmann noted the prior mention regarding green space requirements. She understood that <br /> 24 Minneapolis has instituted some green space requirements'and she suggested possibly <br /> 25 considering the same for St. Anthony. <br /> 26 Tillmann mentioned that it would be an excellent idea to have a book of conditional use permits. <br /> 27 Such book--as indexed --would assist with issuing new permits, and enforcing current ones. . <br /> 28 Bergstrom inquired if the Planning Commission had been invited to be in the parade. Assistant <br /> 29 City Manager Isom noted that he had not been involved in the planning of the VillageFest. <br /> City Council member Dick Horst(from the audience) mentioned that the City Council is <br />
