CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> 2 PLANNING COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> 3 AUGUST 1, 2000 <br /> 4 7:00 PM <br /> 5 CALL TO ORDER. <br /> 6 The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> 7 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> 8 Chair Bergstrom invited the Commission and audience to join in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 9 ROLL CALL. <br /> 10 Present: Chair Bergstrom; Commissioners Tillmann, Hanson, Thomas, Melsha, Hatch, <br /> 11 and Stille. <br /> 12 Absent: None. <br /> 13 Also present: Spencer A. Isom, Assistant City Manager. <br /> 14 APPROVE AUGUST 1, 2000 SPECIAL PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA. <br /> 15 Motion by Bergstrom, seconded by Melsha to approve the August 1, 2000 Special Planning <br /> 6 Commission meeting agenda with the following changes: <br /> 7 Add: PUBLIC INPUT <br /> 18 Chair Bergstrom asked if there was any public input before opening the Public Hearing. There <br /> 19 was none. <br /> 20 Under IX. COMMISSION INPUT, the date of the next Council meeting is August 22, 2000. <br /> 21 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 22 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON THE FOLLOWING <br /> 23 ITEM: <br /> 24 I. Public Hearings. <br /> 25 A. Hillcrest Development's preliminary and final development plan for the Apache <br /> 26 Plaza area that includes a rezoning from "C" district to a Planned Unit <br /> 27 Development (PUD). <br /> 28 Chair Bergstrom briefly explained the background of the request and that there had <br /> 29 been many meetings with the developers, City staff, attorneys and consultants for both <br /> 30 the developer and City regarding this issue. He said that reviewing the entire packet <br /> 31 was not required. At the Planning Commission's June 20 meeting the rezoning and <br /> development plan were reviewed and Commissioners recommended approval to the <br /> City Council. The City Council, at their June 27 regular meeting referred the project <br />
