' Our plan is to build a 10' R 10' addition to our home on the West side
facing Coolidge Street N.E. We are on a corner lot facing
St. Anthony Boulevard and the side of our house is on Coolidge Street.
This addition would be to our dinging room and would allow us to seat
a .full dining table instead of seating the grown ups in the dinng room
and the kids in the kitchen the way we do now.
The addition would be in confoffiity -to the present structure; finished
instone and bricks and would create a small court yard area which would
be enclosed by a wrought .iron fence and gate.
As we understand-it; the reason for set backs from the street is to
allow. an unobstructed "sight-line" along the-front of -all- structures on
a given street. In our instance, however, the street curves .in such
a manner that there really is no "sight-line". In any event, 'our
proposed addition wouldbe exactly equal to our attached garage, so
there would,be no further protrusion into this "sight-line".
Accordingly, we request approval of a variance so we may begin
construction around October 15, 1983.
•
