Por. Childs told Councilman Enrooth it is his understand- <br /> ing that the county only intends to close one side of the roadway at <br /> a time ..during its reconstruction, but .he would let -the road planners <br /> know that the Council would be very adamant about not using 33rd <br /> Avenue for a detour route should they decide to close the entire road. <br /> Mr. Childs will again be serving on the Development Strategies committee <br /> and Councilman Ranallo has been requested to continue his service on <br /> the Personnel and Pension committee for the League of Minnesota Cities <br /> next year and they will both keep the Council informed_ about any new <br /> developments or actions which would affect the City . The Mayor will <br /> also continue to monitor actions of the Association of Metropolitan <br /> Municipalities from his membership on that group's Board of Directors . <br /> Mr. Childs is on the General Legislation committee of that group. <br /> Judy Makowske, Planning Commission Chair and candidate for Council <br /> membership, and Councilman Letourneau arrived at approximately 7 :45 P.M. <br /> Councilman Marks , whose term of office expires this year, announced <br /> that he had filed for reelection. <br /> Before the September Fire Department Report was ordered filed as <br /> informational, the Manager told Councilman Enrooth. the fall reported <br /> for September 12th .had been from the roof at. the Happy Potato Chip <br /> facilities on Chandler Drive . Councilman Ranallo indicated he believed • <br /> it would be very helpful to the Council to have the time of response <br /> listed as. well as the date on that report. <br /> During the discussion of the various recommendations from Evelyn Holthus , <br /> Chemical Use/Abuse Coordinator Counselor, which accompanied the minutes <br /> of the September 20th meeting of the St. Anthony Chemical Abuse Infor- <br /> mation Committee , Bob Oliver, 2617 - 31st Avenue N.E. , indicated' he ,. <br /> was still interested in serving on that committee . Mrs . Holthus had <br /> indicated in her letter that two of the City ' s appointees had requested <br /> they be reappointed to the Committee and another had indicated her <br /> willingness to step down if the Council had another candidate to appoint. <br /> Motion by Councilman Ranallo and Seconded by Councilman Marks to request <br /> staff notify Mrs . Holthus that Robert Oliver, who had been interviewed <br /> last year to serve on the St. Anthony Chemical Use/Abuse. Information <br /> Committee still has an interest in serving on that Committee. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion -by Councilman Enrooth and seconded by Councilman Ranallo to <br /> reappoint Barb Malrick and Tom Lindskog to serve n the St. Anthony <br /> Chemical Use/Abuse Information Committee for another year. <br /> Motion .carried unanimously.. <br /> .Councilman. Marks indicated he would let Mrs Holthus know that he would • <br /> be willing to serve on .the advisory board to the Committee's new Youth. . .. <br /> Service Bureau Counselor. <br />
