Council <br /> and staff members made advance donations before the following : <br /> Motion by Mayor Sundland and seconded by Councilman Marks to permit <br /> the St. Anthony Kiwanis Club to conduct their annual Peanut Day fund- <br /> raiser in St. Anthony September 23 , 1983. <br /> Notion carried unanimously. <br /> Judy Makowske , Planning Commission Chair, had arrived just as Dick <br /> Krier was conducting his report to the M .R.A. , just . prior to the <br /> Council meeting, and reported the death of Commissioner Sam Sivanich ' s <br /> father, following which she left the meeting . Mr. Childs was requested <br /> to send a letter of condolence to the Commissioner from the Council. <br /> Councilman Ranallo reported several neighbors of Ross Craig , 3012 <br /> Silver Lake Road, had contacted him wondering if they should appear <br /> before the Council to request City action regarding the unkept appear- <br /> ance of that property. The Councilman said he had promised to report <br /> the neighbors ' concerns to staff to see what the City can do to <br /> improve this long-standing situation. Mr. Childs and the Mayor both <br /> reported personal contacts with the homeowner and the latter indicated <br /> he believed Mr.. Craig had left the state. The Manager reported the <br /> Public Works Department had been mowing the grass on that property <br /> but were hesitant to cut the hedges about which the neighbors are com- <br /> plaining. Mr.. Childs said he had advised one neighbor to cut any <br /> branches Banging over her property. The Manager also agreed to see to <br /> it that the grass on the property on Skycroft, about which Councilman <br /> Enrooth reported, is cut by the City crews ; if the property owner has • <br /> not already done so. <br /> i <br />
