City Manager Burt replied <br /> 10 that it would not , but that Chairperson Madden might simply <br /> 11 ask Mr . Nedegaard for his cooperation on that issue . <br /> 12 Chairperson Madden inquired of Mr . Nedegaard, who stated <br /> 13 that he agreed wholeheartedly with the need for a guardrail <br /> 14 and that he would be willing to look into the matter , work <br /> 15 with city staff , and install the guardrail . <br /> 16 <br /> 17 Motion by Brownell , seconded by Wagner, to recommend that <br /> 18 the City Council grant a variance to Nedegaard Construction <br /> 19 Company for Evergreen Townhomes , 3414 and 3416 Silver Lane, <br /> 20 for a four-foot variance for Lot Number 2 and an eight-foot <br /> 21 variance for Lot Number 3; finding that the conditions for <br /> 22 the variance were satisfactorily met and that no one spoke <br /> 23 against the request; on the condition that the City Attorney <br /> 24 verify that an affirmative answer to Question Number 3 of <br /> 25 the variance request is proper. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Aye: Brownell , Hansen , Madden , Wagner <br /> 28 Abstention: Werenicz <br /> 29 <br /> 30 Motion carried . <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br /> 33 CONTINUATION OF DISCUSSION: SIGN VARIANCE REQUEST FROM <br /> 34 LaNEL FINANCIAL FOR THE AUTUMN WOODS APARTMENTS LOCATED AT <br /> 35 APPROXIMATELY 2600 KENZIE TERRACE <br /> 36 <br /> 37 Chairperson Madden invited Paul Brewer of LaNel Financial to <br /> 38 address the Commission. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 Mr. Brewer began by describing the changes made to the <br /> 41 previous presentation. He stated that Sign Number 1 , the <br /> 42 directional sign off of Kenzie , has been changed so that it <br /> 43 will be at an angle to the street so that only one side of <br /> 44 .the sign will be used for information . <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Mr. Brewer then displayed to the Commission photographs of <br /> 47 signs built by LaNel at the Twin Lake North development in <br /> 48 answer to the Commission ' s concerns about the appearance of <br /> 49 the signs . He stated that LaNel carried the Twin Lake North <br /> 50 logo through on all its signs at the Twin Lake North <br />
