3
1 Assistant VanderHeyden noted that a new packet of
2 information had been supplied by Autumn Woods , and
3 distributed to the Commission a new table of contents for
4 the packet.
5
6
7 Assistant VanderHeyden explained that the tab numbers do not
8 correspond to the sign numbers . She stated that the
9 location of the signs is marked in red pen after the first
10 tab; that Autumn Woods had added Sign Number 3, which is a
11 sign signating only the rental center ; and that Sign
12 Number 4 had been inadvertently omitted because there are
13 two po=sible entrance locations for that sign .
14
15 Assist =-it JanderHeyd -n explained that after e-3ch tab is a
16 specific sign to be placed at a specific location. For
17 example , after tab two is the sign to be located off of
18 Renzi--:- Terrace , the sane location ,- reviousiy designated;
19 Sign Number 2 is also in the same location previously
20 desigr:a=cd; and that Signs 3 and 4 are additions . She noted
21 that t'-:e size of the signs had been decreased.. However , the
22 number of signs has been increased even though the total
23 square footage is less than what it would have been with
24 only two signs .
25
26 Assistant VanderHeyden stated that staff , after having
27 reviewed LaNel Financial ' s proposal , was of the opinion that
28 Signs 2 and 3 could be combined as they were in the initial
29 proposal . She noted that a deadline must be considered for
30 all the Autumn Woods temporary signage, and that a
31 recommendation is required for the "now renting" banners
32 which LaNel would like to fly for one year .
33
34 City Manager Burt clarified, in response to a question by
35 Chairperson Madden, that the initial request by LaNel was
36 for three signs at 68 . 25 square feet , but that the amended
37 request is for four signs at 50 . 19 square feet . City
38 Manager Burt recapped his discussion with Paul Brewer of
39 LaNel Financial in which kir . Brewer agreed that Sign Number
40 1 would be reduced in size , angled on the lot , and set in 20
41 feet so that a motorist must be in the Autumn Woods driveway
42 before being able to see the sign. Additionally, City
43 Manager Burt requested that Mr . Brewer supply a drawing of
44 the main Autumn Woods sign, which Mr. Brewer agreed to do.
45 City Manager Burt noted that the rental shop sign is new,
46 and that he had asked Mr. Brewer to combine that sign with
47 another . City Manager Burt stated that Sign Number 4 is
48 apparently new in the proposal , although he believed that it
49 had been discussed with staff at some point in time . He
50 stated that the request for Sign (lumber 4 is logical because
