PLANNING COMMISSION 4
MINUTES. September 18, 1990
Murphy said that incomplete packets made the decision more difficult. He
agreed the development looks nice and signs on each monument will make
the project look more finished and balanced.

Hansen would like a definition of the monuments and how they are
classified.

Motion by Brownell, second by Hansen to table the petition until next
month and that the petitioner be. provided with.a copy of the minutes of the
meeting so that he will know the concerns of the Planning Commission and
provide the additional information requested.

Murphy asked to add to the motion a request to address the four points of
concern: Height of monument; total square footage of the structures and of
the signage itself; the fence height issue; and clarification of whether it is a
monument or fence.

Brownell and Hansen accepted the addition to the motion.
Motion carried unanimously.

As a result of tabling, the request will not appear on the City Council agenda.
Mr. Newman clarified that the fourth request in the motion should be
directed to staff.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Chairman Madden stepped down from his position and Vice-Chairman
Hansen conducted the remainder of the meeting.

STREET ADDRESS REQUESTED

VanderHeyden said there was no precedent they could find to make a
decision on the request for the address change. Staff would like a
recommendation.

All people involved were notified of the meeting. The only party who did
not support the change never commented on the issue.

Madden asked for the change because the addresses face Foss Road but are
listed as 37th Avenue.

Hansen said that access from 37th Avenue doesn't make sense. •

Faust expressed concern for safety and confirmed that 911, et al would be
_ = 45 informed-of the.changeover. = — _
