ain th0 <br /> Hls e <br /> DATE - APPROVAL = <br /> September 10 , 1990 <br /> TOs <br /> Planning Commission Members <br /> FROM : <br /> Sue VanderHe den Assistant to the City Managpr <br /> ] TEM : NEDEGAARD CONSTRUCTION (EVERGREEN TOWNHOMES) , SIGN <br /> VARIANCE REQUEST <br /> _ Nedegaard Construction Company, Inc. , of Evergreen Townhomes, 3412 <br /> Silver Lane, is requesting a variance to the City sign ordinance Section <br /> 430:40, Subdivision 8 a.2, which allows only one freestanding sign to <br /> identify a multi-unit complex. <br /> Nedegaard proposes to place a 10.857 square foot sign on each of the <br /> four monument type structures denoting the entrances to the Evergreen <br /> Townhomes complex. A multi-unti complex is allowed 50 square feet of <br /> sign surface area. The four signs being requested would still be within <br /> the allotted square footage, the total being 43.428 square feet. <br /> The applicant's petition for variance, the applicable section of the <br /> sign ordinance and the signage plans are attached for your review. A <br /> representative from Nedegaard Construction Company, Inc. , will be <br /> present to answer any questions. <br />
