I REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> AUGUST 13 , 1991 <br /> 3 PAGE 5 <br /> 4 Report of Councilmember Marks <br /> 5 Councilmember Marks commented on the "water quality" of <br /> 6 the Dunk Tank at the Village Fest . He had volunteered to <br /> 7 be a " target" in the Tank. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 The St . Anthony Civic Orchestra will be leaving on August <br /> 10 14th for Salo, Finland, St . Anthony' s Sister City. <br /> 11 Councilmember Marks and his wife will be travelling with <br /> 12 the Orchestra to Salo and then will be .continuing on to <br /> 13 Moscow and .other areas . Before the Council Meeting was <br /> 14 convened, Mrs . Marks brought an engraved silver bowl and <br /> 15 a scrapbook of St . Anthony photos for the Coungil to <br /> 16 view. These items will be presented to the Orchestra' s <br /> 17 hosts in Salo. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Councilmember Marks felt Councilmember Wagner and his <br /> 21 wife , Audrey, should be thanked for their hospitality <br /> 22 shown to the women from Wisconsin who volunteered to stay <br /> 23 with the Special Olympic athletes from St . .Vincent for <br /> 24 all of the ten days they were participating. Members of <br /> 25 the Council agreed that these volunteers should be <br /> 26 recognized. <br /> 0 Columbus Day Celebration <br /> 29 Mayor Ranallo reported on a meeting held at Apache Plaza <br /> 30 by parties interested in having a celebration for the <br /> 31 500th Anniversary of Columbus Day. He noted that members <br /> 32 of the Apache Merchants Association had expressed <br /> 33 interest in participating as had Barb Olsonoski , Manager <br /> 34 of Apache Plaza. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 There will be events for the whole month of October. On <br /> 37 October '6th thirty portraits of Columbus memorabilia and <br /> 38 documents will be on display at the Shopping Center . On <br /> 39 Sunday, October 27th .from Noon to 5: 00 p.m there will be <br /> 40 "The World ' s Largest Spaghetti Feed. " This will be hosted <br /> 41 by an Italian group and the Knights of Columbus . The <br /> 42 Mayor noted that the liquor store will supply the wine <br /> 43 for this meal . <br /> 44 <br /> 45 B. City Manaaer ' s Report <br /> 46 <br /> 47 The City Manager advised that the City' s liquor <br /> 48 advertisement will appear on Channel 23 . It is scheduled <br /> 49 to run around 10 : 05 p.m. but the City Manager noted that <br /> 50 is seldom the time certain . <br /> 51 <br /> Rosie' s Restaurant contacted the City Manager regarding <br /> 40 a wrestling match it is sponsoring on August 25th.
