We <br /> are applying for use of a portion of the Apache Plaza building to conduct church services as <br /> an extension of our church in Elk River. We have many attenders who come from.the <br /> metropolitan area of the twin cities and feel this is a more central area to not only meet their <br /> needs but to reach out.into new communities as well. This proposed use falls within the <br /> guidelines for the.commercial zoning district for this location. <br /> The use of this building as a church is certainly not detrimental to the health, safety or <br /> general welfare of persons residing or working in the vicinity. The use of this facility as a <br /> church will benefit the community of St. Anthony in a positive way. Often times the <br /> gathering of large groups for services will benefit the community financially (eating <br /> establishments, etc.) as well. Our services on Saturday night will draw from a wide array of <br /> cultural backgrounds and age groups. Our intent is to be a most positive influence on the <br /> community as a whole and this location is desirable because of its easy accessibility and <br /> convenience. <br /> We appreciate your consideration for this Conditional Use Permit.
