City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> April 8, 1997 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 1. E. 1 page of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. <br /> 2 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 3 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 4 A. Councilmembers. <br /> 5 Councilmember Wagner reported Dick Horst's Coast to Coast Open House will begin on <br /> 6 Thursday, April 10, 1997 with cake at 5:00 P.M. <br /> 7 Wagner reported the Family Dollar Store is open. He noted he has-not yet been in the store <br /> 8 but upon driving by saw a lot of grocery carts on the sidewalk in front of the store. This <br /> 9 looked sloppy and he hoped it would not continue. <br /> 10 Wagner reported Community Services will be meeting tomorrow morning. Healthy <br /> 11 Community/Healthy Youth will be making a presentation of a survey they will use to <br /> 1.2 determine what assets help their work with youth. Healthy Community/Healthy Youth is <br /> 13 moving forward. Ann Sparks is very much involved. The Committee is working on ideas for <br /> 14 promotion in the community and fundraising. <br /> 15 Mayor Ranallo noted another community had volunteers who worked in the Community <br /> 6 Center to help direct people in the building during the day. He suggested the same be done <br /> 17 in St. Anthony. <br /> Wagner stated he would suggest that at the next Community Services meeting. He noted <br /> 18 g gg ty g <br /> 19 there were volunteers available to help install the new playground equipment. <br /> 20 Councilmember Faust stated he felt the City needed to pursue the volunteers to help install <br /> 21 playground equipment. <br /> 22 Faust reported he and Wagner's attendance at the Comprehensive Plan Task Force meeting on <br /> 23 March 26, 1997. He stated there was good attendance at the meeting. <br /> 24 Councilmember Enrooth arrived at 6:40 P.M. <br /> 25 Faust reported he will be attending a Fiscal Futures Committee meeting on April 11, 1997. <br /> 26 At that meeting, the Committee will determine one property tax proposal that they intend to <br /> 27 support. He invited Councilmembers to share their ideas with respect to the tax proposals. <br /> 28 Faust noted the Council's attendance at the CUB Foods Stores Opening Ceremony. <br /> 29 Councilmember Marks noted his attendance at the CUB Foods Store Opening Ceremony and <br /> 30 thanked City Manager and his predecessors for all the work they had done with negotiations <br /> 11 for the store. <br />
