CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Resolution 15 -029 <br />A RESOLUTION TO RECOGNIZE THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY <br />OF THE SISTER CITY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN <br />SALO, FINLAND AND ST. ANTHONY, MINNESOTA <br />WHEREAS, in November, 1985, the Cities of Salo, Finland and St. Anthony, Minnesota <br />recognized each other as sister cities; and <br />WHEREAS, this relationship has produced many opportunities for cultural, educational, <br />governmental and social understanding for all citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, this has put a human face of understanding on two far away communities, it <br />has only highlighted our vast similarities, goals and sense of common good, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, by this beneficial mutual understanding and cooperation, in that these two <br />communities universally embrace this concept; in 2015 we celebrate, with the <br />cities of Salo, and St. Anthony our 30 years as Sister Cities, and <br />WHEREAS, it is hereby declared that Sunday, April 19, 2015 is designated as Salo Finland <br />Day. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br />that we recognize the 30`h Anniversary of the Sister City relationship between Salo, Finland <br />and St. Anthony, Minnesota. <br />Adopted this 24`h day of March, 2015. <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara J.
