CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 15 -032 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP <br />FOUR (4) FEMALE CHICKENS IN AN R -1 ZONING DISTRICT AT 3526 BELDEN DRIVE NE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Laurie, Thomas and Aline Hutton about <br />whether or not the City allows chickens in the residential zoning district; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56,Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including chickens, require <br />approval from the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hutton Family has submitted a written request for approval from the <br />City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve his request to <br />keep chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hutton Family has submitted a diagram of the enclosure that will <br />house the chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this <br />matter is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony <br />approves the request to keep four (4) female chickens in an R -1 Zoning District at 3526 <br />Belden Drive NE <br />Adopted this 14th day of April, 2015. <br />ATTEST: <br />Mark Casey, City Manager <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />Jerome 0.
