SEPARATE CONNECTIONS <br />§ 52.01 SEPARATE CONNECTIONS. – Current <br />Every building other than an accessory building must have a separate water service connection which <br />meets the requirements of state law, this code and the city’s Water Department. Water and sewer connection fess must be paid prior to service being established or the <br />change in use of an established service. <br /> <br />GARBAGE AND SOLID WASTE OFFENSES <br />§ 130.50 DISPOSAL REQUIREMENTS. – Current <br />One of the following provisions must be made for each property in the city for the disposal of garbage <br />and other solid waste: <br />(A) Regular collection service by a hauler licensed by the city; <br />(B) Participation in a sharing or pool for a regular collection service by a hauler licensed by the city; <br />or <br />(C) Lawful disposal by transporting the solid waste to a place of business owned or controlled by the <br />property owner. <br />§ 130.50 DISPOSAL REQUIREMENTS. – Proposed <br />In accordance with Minnesota Statutes section 115A.941 and to promote health, safety, and the general <br />welfare, each property in the City, including each residential household and business, shall have a <br />contract for regular collection service by a hauler licensed by the City for the disposal of garbage and <br />solid waste. Residential properties that consist of single-unit, two-unit, or three-unit buildings are <br />exclusively subject to the City’s system of organized collection, which was implemented pursuant to <br />Minnesota Statutes section 115A.94 and the Agreement for Residential Solid Waste and Recycling <br />Collection Services entered into between the City and its licensed solid waste haulers. <br /> <br />27
