Page 2 <br />CC Worksession <br />May 4, 2015 <br />3) Adding a clause to allow the continuation of existing solar systems, unless an upgrade requiring <br />a building permit is proposed; <br />4) Clarifying the structural integrity requirement to add "to the satisfaction of the building <br />inspector" <br />5) Referencing conditional use permit criteria in city code; <br />6) Eliminating the requirement for a licensed contractor- allow homeowner to install, with the <br />issuance of a building permit. <br />ITEMS RECOMMENDED BY CITY COUNCIL <br />1. Flush mounted vs. building mounted systems. The Council provided direction to staff and the <br />Planning Commission to allow only flush mounted on the front of homes and commercial <br />structures, but to allow building mounted in the rear portion of the roof, but not allowed at all <br />on accessory structures.
