<br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting Date: April 12, 2016 <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution-Imposing Water Restrictions <br /> <br /> <br />OVERVIEW: <br /> <br />In front of you this evening is a resolution to impose water restrictions. The City of St. Anthony is <br />implementing short term water conservation measures to limit the amount of water that is drawn from <br />the aquifer due to the discovery of the chemical Dioxane. With the increased demand of water in the <br />summer months, staff is recommending water restrictions to conserve water and potentially slow down <br />the movement of Dioxane. <br /> <br />Water restrictions will include: <br />• No watering between 11:00 am through 6:00 pm <br />• Odd addresses allowed on odd dates <br />• Even addresses allowed on even dates <br />• Closing of both splash pads <br /> <br />The water restrictions will be in effect until further notice.
