VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> September 139 1966 <br /> The regular meeting of the Village Council of St. Anthony was called to order <br /> by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday, September 13s 1966. <br /> The following were present at roll call : <br /> O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> absent: None <br /> also present: <br /> Raymond Hai% Village attorney <br /> John Printon, Village manager <br /> Councilman Dougherty noted that an ommission in the minutes had been made on <br /> page #7, second to last paragraph. Insert "and Silver Lake Road". <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson and Seconded by Councilman Springer it was <br /> moved that the minutes of the regular meeting of August 23, 1966 be approved as <br /> • amended. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved <br /> that the minutes of the special meeting of September 6, 1966 be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Senator Hoium extended greetings to the Council and offered the help of his off• <br /> ice on any legislation affecting the Village. <br /> Mr. E. F. Schwope, representing the St. Anthony Shopping Center businessmen, <br /> explained the association's advertising proposal to drop ping-pong balls from <br /> a helicopter hovering over the parking area. After discussion as to safety <br /> precautions, Councilman Sorenson moved and seconded by Councilman Bailey that <br /> the request be approved with the following requirements: debris be cleaned up, <br /> the complete area be roped off and traffic- halted in the drop area, and that <br /> all necessary safety precautions be taken, these to be subject to the approval <br /> of the Chief of Police. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Ev Hamilton reviewed the minutes of the Park and Recreation Board Meeting of <br /> August 4, 1966. Changes in a tree ordinance proposal to be forwarded to the <br /> Village Attorney for preliminary draft. The Village Manager was directed to <br /> examine the park utility accounts for funds to use the Central Park skating <br /> lights for football practice. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to prepare a cost estimate for a screen planting <br /> for Highway #8 and Rankin Road. <br />
