All present who answered opening roll call. <br /> Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Councilman Crouse directing the Village <br /> Attorney to add a section to the garbage ordinance making it applicable for residen- <br /> tial premises and also to change the title of the ordinance. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by COUncilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski directing the <br /> Village Manager to discuss this statement regarding Ramsey County Ditch No. 2 with <br /> Village of New Brighton and also authorizing the payment of $183.40 as our share <br /> and to settle out of court. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski authorizing the <br /> payment of the statement from Dorsey, Marquart, Windhorst, West & Holladay in the <br /> amount of $1,011.93 for services for the month of October. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor Miedtke to refer back to the <br /> School Board for action the item as set forth in the letter from Superintendent <br /> Renz regarding the purchase of gasoline for tax exempt vehicles of District #282. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Village Attorney was directed to prepare an ordinance providing for the increase <br /> of sewer charges for 1971 and to include a 90% pro-rate for apartment buildings. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor Miedtke that a letter be written <br /> to Happy's Potato Chip Company commending them for their continued efforts in <br /> trying to keep down the odors, etc. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski granting the <br /> request of the Northeast Y's Men's Club for a Christmas Tree sale lot in the St. <br /> Anthony Shopping Center as requested and requiring that it be cleaned up within a <br /> week after the sale or that they pay the bill for having it cleaned up. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Englund to approve the <br /> request of the St. Anthony Lions for a temporary sign on the northeast corner of <br /> • Silver Lake Road and Kenzie Terrace. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to secure a copy of the State Plumbing Codes and <br /> to report back to the Council at the next meeting. <br />
