• Motion by Councilman Haik and seconded by Councilman Sauer to re- <br /> schedule the November 8, 1977 Council meeting to 8 : 00 p.m. after the <br /> polls are closed. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Whether there is a need for a drop arm warning device at the railroad <br /> crossing on Stinson Boulevard was explored as well as the funds which <br /> might be available to the City to pay the 10% of the costs which will <br /> be the City' s share of the $50,000 - $40 ,000 improvement, the balance <br /> of which will be paid by the Minnesota Department of Transportation. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik. and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to <br /> table action for further information from Staff and the Police De- <br /> partment on whether the City should participate in placing a railroad <br /> warning device on Stinson Boulevard. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> North Memorial Medical Center' s September report on service to City <br /> patients was filed. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to <br /> authorize the George M. Hansen firm to conduct the City's 1977 audit <br /> and to request the Manager to determine how the process can be ac- <br /> celerated. <br /> • Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Members of the press who were present were requested to remind City <br /> residents that the winter parking restrictions on City streets will <br /> go into effect November 1st. Mr. Fornell will contact the Community <br /> Services Public Information Officer regarding the same notification <br /> through the schools. <br /> Mr. Fornell was requested to keep the Council informed regarding Coon <br /> Rapids ' efforts to involve the Suburban Rate Authority in the Metro- <br /> politan Sewer rate structures. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik and seconded by Councilman Stauffer to grant <br /> a heating license to Suburban Heating Company and a car starting <br /> license to Dick's Standard. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Haik and seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve <br /> payment of all Verified Claims listed in the October 11, 1977 Agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer and seconded by Councilman Haik to <br /> • approve payment of $1, 124 . 71 to the Dorsey Firm for legal services <br /> to the City during August. <br /> (5) <br />
