• Highlights From <br /> St. Anthony City Code Section <br /> PROHIBITING DISCHARGES INTO THE <br /> SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM <br /> PURPOSE - To prohibit clear water discharges to the sanitary <br /> sewer. <br /> PROHIBITED DISCHARGES - Drainage from roof, surface, ground <br /> water sump pump, footing tile, swimming pool, or natural <br /> precipitation. <br /> REQUIRES - That all sump pumps must have a permanently <br /> installed, rigid pipe (PVC type) discharge line which shall not enter <br /> the sanitary sewer at any time. <br /> REQUIRES - Disconnection of clear water sources. <br /> REQUIRES - Inspection by a City employee or authorized <br /> representative. <br /> PENALTY - Non-compliance will result in a surcharge of $ 100 per <br /> month added to home's sewer bill. <br /> FUTURE INSPECTIONS - Sump pump connections will be <br /> reinspected periodically. The $100 surcharge will be applied <br /> retroactively, for all months since the previous inspection, to <br /> homes where connections are found to be in violation of the code. <br />
