I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION 3 INTERVIEW OF APPLICANTS FOR PLANNING COMMISSIONER 4 DECEMBER 17, 1997 . 5 I. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL. 6 The meeting was called to order at 6:30 P.M. by Mayor Ranallo. 7 II. ROLL CALL. 8 Councilmembers Present: Ranallo, Marks, Enrooth, Wagner, and Faust. 9 Also Present: Michael Morrison, City Manager. 10 III. CONDUCT INTERVIEWS. 11 Mayor Ranallo explained the purpose of this meeting is to interview candidates for the 1998 12 Planning Commission. There are four applicants, three current Commissioners reapplying and 13 one new candidate applying. There are three seats open for 1998. 14 Each Councilmember asked each of the five applicants the following questions: 15 Faust: What do you see as the biggest issue facing the City of St. Anthony in the next two 16 years? �7 Wagner: What do you feel you have brought/will bring to the Planning Commission? 18 Marks: What specific contribution will you bring to the Planning Commission to make the 19 City of St. Anthony a better place? 20 Enrooth: What steps do you feel should be implemented to improve the relationship between 21 the Planning Commission and the City Council? 22 Mayor Ranallo: What specific interest/goal/reason causes you to reapply/apply for the 23 Planning Commission? 24 The new applicant was also asked if he would be willing to spend the time to attend 25 schooling for instruction in the duties of Planning Commissioner. 26 A. 6:30 P.M. - 6:45 P.M. - 27 Chris Makowske was interviewed from 6:30 P.M. to 6:42 P.M. 28 B. 6:45 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. - 29 Rosemary Franzese was interviewed from 6:47 P.M. to 6:52 P.M. 30 C. 7:00 P.M. - 7:15 P.M. - 31 Doug Bergstrom was interviewed from 6:57 P.M. to 7:10 P.M. D. 7:15 P.M. - 7:30 P.M. - 33 Anthony Kaczor was interviewed from 7:12 P.M. to 7:20 P.M.
