3z <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: September 2, 1998 <br /> TO: Water Quality Task Force <br /> FROM: Michael Mornson, City Manager <br /> ITEM: WATER QUALITY TASK FORCE <br /> The City of St. Anthony is organized for the benefit of all of its citizens. The <br /> City Council is considering appointing a Task Force of its citizens to examine <br /> water quality issues on Silver Lake. <br /> The purpose of the Task Force is as follows: <br /> • Study water related issues for the entire community <br /> . 0 Develop ways to improve water quality on Silver Lake <br /> • Work with all government units on the diagnostic feasibility study for <br /> Silver Lake <br /> • Recommend ordinance and policy changes for City Council consideration <br /> for water quality improvement <br /> The Task Force would consider possible cooperative arrangements with the City <br /> of Columbia Heights. <br /> The Task Force will <br /> • be appointed by the City Council in January of each year <br /> • be annually renewed by the City Council <br /> • serve at the pleasure of the Council <br /> • consist of seven residents, three of which reside on Silver Lake <br /> • meet monthly at a time and place to be determined at their first meeting <br /> A secretary and/or staff liaison will be provided by the City to take meeting <br /> minutes. <br />
