• MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: November 6, 1998 <br /> TO: Mayor and Councilmembers <br /> FROM: Michael Mornson, City Manager <br /> ITEM: WATER QUALITY TASK FORCE <br /> The City of St. Anthony is organized for the benefit of all of its citizens. The City Council is <br /> considering appointing a Task Force of its citizens to examine water quality issues on Silver <br /> Lake. . <br /> The purpose of the Task Force is as follows: <br /> • Study water related issues for the entire community <br /> • Develop ways to improve water quality on Silver Lake <br /> • Work with all government units on the diagnostic feasibility study for Silver Lake <br /> • Recommend ordinance and policy changes for City Council consideration for water <br /> quality improvement <br /> The Task Force will <br /> • be appointed by the City Council for a 12 month period <br /> • serve at the pleasure of the Council <br /> • consist of five residents, three of which will reside in St. Anthony; one from Columbia <br /> Heights; and, one from New Brighton. (if Columbia Heights and New Brighton are not <br /> interested in participating in the Task Force, members would then consist of five St. <br /> Anthony residents, one of whom resides on Silver Lake <br /> If City staff is needed, either the Public Works Director, City Engineer, or their designee-shall <br /> assist the Task Force. <br /> The Task Force schedule of meeting dates, times, and frequency shall be determined at their <br /> first meeting. <br /> . Anyone interested in being a member of the Water Quality Task Force may submit a letter of <br /> interest by Friday, December 18, 1998, to City Manager Michael Morrison, 3301 Silver Lake <br /> Road, St. Anthony, MN 55418. <br />
