1 Hartman, Public Works Director indicated that these generators provide electricity only; he <br /> 2 reported that if the Council wants to have the Community Center heated, he will need to also <br /> 3 order LP and change the connections to the boilers that would accept LP. Hartman indicated <br /> • 4 that he needed the Council to make a decision soon so that he can make arrangements for the <br /> 5 lease or purchase of a generator. The Council will be decide this at the June 29' worksession. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 V. REVIEW COUNCIL PAY ORDINANCE. <br /> 8 The Council discussed the history and merit of increasing Council salary every two years. The <br /> 9 Mayor reported that this is done traditionally before the election. The Council directed the <br /> 10 City Manager to put a resolution on for the next Council meeting showing a $20 per month <br /> 11 increase for Councilmembers and a $28 per month increase for the Mayor. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 VI. REVIEW TAX INCREMENT FINANCING. <br /> 14 The City Manager reported that due to recent changes to tax capacity legislation may have <br /> 15 caused the April 8, 1999 TIF Summary to be premature. In response to Councilmember <br /> 16 Cavnaugh's question, the City Manager reported that the TIF Summary is done so that the City <br /> 17 retains authority to use the TIF funds generated by the City's TIF districts. He said that if the <br /> 18 City did not continuously update the summary; the City would be required to hold public <br /> 19 hearings to fund any qualifying projects. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 VII. OTHER BUSINESS. <br /> 22 A. Review Bill Myers' Memoriam. Council discussed setting up a memoriam in Myers' <br /> 23 name. Council decided that if anyone wishing to give should do so individually. <br /> 24 <br /> 5 VIII. DISCUSS FUTURE COUNCIL AGENDA ITEMS. <br /> 6 A. June 8`' Council Meeting. The City Manager reported that Anthony Kaczor will not be <br /> 27 able to accept his plaque at the June 8°i meeting but has rescheduled for the June 22' Council <br /> 28 meeting. The City Manager reminded the Council that they are scheduled to interview the <br /> 29 Parks Commission applicants before the regular June 8' Council meeting. He also reported <br /> 30 that he will have the EAW request on the June 8' agenda for their discussion. He indicated <br /> 31 that no action is required and they have until the June 22' Council meeting to decide. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 B. June 29' Worksession Meeting. The City Manager reported that the consultant for the <br /> 34 new Public Works building is on the agenda for this worksession meeting. He also indicated <br /> 35 that he has scheduled a meeting with the representatives of the Heart of the Earth school and <br /> 36 the School Board but said that the representatives from Hearth of the Earth aren't sure if they <br /> 37 will be able to attend. <br /> 38 <br /> 39 IX.
